Mamta Ojha, MD is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She established Internal Medicine + Primary Care after several years of traditional practice to meet the needs of patients who want a more personal relationship with their physician and more attention for their medical care.
Dr. Mamta Ojha was born and raised in Nepal, the land of the Himalayas. Her motivation and hard work paid off when she was awarded a full scholarship for her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, through the government of Pakistan. She graduated from medical school and returned to Nepal to work in the country’s most prestigious military hospital. After serving as a medical officer, she completed her residency at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Upon graduation, she stayed on at Michigan State University as an Assistant Professor for four years, teaching medical students and residents. She moved to Virginia to be closer to her family and worked as an Internist for Sentara Health System before establishing her own private practice.
Dr Mamta Ojha, MD loves Virginia and calls it her home. She loves to socialize with friends and family, listen to music, watch movies, go hiking, and travel.
